Just received this 18 Pounder Dummy for Fuze Setting / Drill item.

The weight of the shell is 3.5 KG

Not sure what metal the Fuze is made of, but does not look like brass. Looks like a white metal.

I have a few Questions:

1. Was there a colour code for these ?

2. Does any one have ANY more information on this item ?

3. Was there a case that was attatched to this projectile ?

I have one of these dated 1905.
Never managed to find anything out about it.
