Hi Could anybody tell me what the markings are on this cut down 18pdr please, i think i am right in saying its canadian.

Andy,

Yes, it is Canadian. Made by the Canadian Cartridge Company. The significance of the three letter string, in this instance NUO, is yet to be established. It appears to be date incremental and might be some form of Lot identification,

The primer was made by Platt Brothers and Co., Ltd., Hartford Works, Oldham.
