Recently acquired an 18 Pounder shrapnel shell in Canada stamped :-

Does anyone know who the manufacturer MD Co is?​

I once saw someone on another forum identify this manufacturer as "Metal Drawing Company" of St. Catharines, Ontario.

I cannot say for certain if this information is accurate.
