18 PR I 1905 Trench Art

Well-Known Member
Hi,

I came across this piece of 18 PR trench art, which is dated 1905.

Collectors are either going to like it for its artistic appeal or hate it for destroying a rare 1905 case.

I’ll leave it up to you to decide, which side of the fence you’re on.

Cheers,

Well I would much prefer the original case, but I think you have to be philosophical about it - it has probably only survived because it was made into trench art. At least it still survives and we can record the headstamp information.
