I only said that the "aws over number" inspection stamp was also used by Karlsruhe...
I have an "AWS over 38" inspection marking on a Karlsruhe made case from 1908...
Ok, Ok it's not that important - I just have a problem with "was also used by Karlsruhe" because it wasn't. The Patronenfabrik Karlsruhe was a privately owned factory which made your case. AWS was the prussian state main artillery arsenal. Your case was made in Karlsruhe and then delivered to the arsenal in Berlin/Spandau and after inspection it got it's AWS+number stamp there. The factory in Karlsruhe delivered cases also to other arsenals and also exported cases (then without any inspection stamp or sometimes with a Krupp inspection stamp). The arsenal in Spandau produced own cases and also received cases from many different factorys and just inspected them.
