Picked up this today, had some old paint on it, but that came off with little
trouble, nice condition, no hard dry spots. I am sure this one is British made.
Marks are H G R (Limited) 1916. Does any one know the firm.
It still has the small loop for the belt, often lost on these.
Oddly I never see Gunners with a rifle, I guess it got handed around the
battery when needed ~ but every one has one of these ? perhaps more a form
of dress than anything else !
