Quite a nice section of a Mark V fitted with a Morris Patent Tube Co. electric primer.
I am not sure why the wad is at that end of the case though! The over powder wad should be two white card discs with a felt wad soaked in beeswax between them and the bullet should have a fine white paper patch entirely within the case.
Although it uses the same case, this is not a Nordenfelt round as it was never used in the machine gun.
Many thanks Tony for the additional information. I altered nothing post purchase from a non-specialist seller so I guess time has played upon this example. Wad will be in the right place by tomorrow morning!
