2” mortar transit box 1939

Hi

On request, the transit box for the 2” mortar.
I know, buy the item, not the story but this one comes from Blainville sur Orne, a smaller town next to Benouville in Normandy.
I got this box for about 25 years now and I never saw a second one, IMO this must be scarce

Nice box, and nice contents label to the inner lid, Are you allowed to own a deactivated mortar to put in it in Belgium? I know the law is strict over there.

No, the law changed and now you are not allowed to...

Thats a pity, I would like one myself but the deactivation procedure means the mortar gets welded and made safe so not very original. At least they can't ban boxes!

The Mk two mortar will be the one with a base plate, the common one being the spade plate Mk 7 or 8
