2 Pounder Anti Tank, Armour Piercing Rounds

Hi all, I haven't picked up anything interesting is a looong time so this in my reintroduction to the Forum with the recent pickup of a nice 1943 dated battledress and two sweet 2 pounder, AP rounds. I find it interesting that only one round has the drive band marked: AP 2PR V I T St.C 11364 Bs B 150 5/42 The casings still have stencils: E in a box, and CAN.

The tunic is to the artillery and from the same estate. I think the 2 pr was the initial main armament for the Canadian Matilda and Ram tanks. I think it getting harder and harder to find such items in untouched condition.

Regards,

Greg

Very nice items Greg.

I guess the shells were keep stored away for a long time as it is rare to see any stencil markings on the 2 pdr. cases.

The odd one shows up on Gunbroker now and again. The cases are harder to find than projectiles. The two in the posting are excellent. I found a case a year ago and have a projectile coming for it eventually.
