I have in my collection a very nice, unpolished 20mm Hispano case made by the Dominion Arsenal in 1944. All very clear, until i noticed an ink stamp on the side of the case that reads "20MM TP-T M71A1 LOT 4 ASM 78". I guess the 78 is the date loaded, but if that is the case how come it was empty for 34 years? Any ideas out there?
I am also looking for a 1944 period projectile to go with the case.
