Hi l have l think a Centurian Tank Projectile missing the lower part .Stamped onto the body APC BCT, 20 PD MK 1/2, LOT 33, PA 4/54.Wondering what the overall appearance is when complete.
APCBC = Armour Piercing Capped with Ballistic Cap. I suspect that the T refers to the Tracer. The ballistic cap is to allow the shot to maintain greater kinetic energy and accuracy at longer range than if the tip of the shot was more stubby. The cap was to break up hardened armour, to enable greater penetration of the shot.
