I believe these were largely intended for export - I know that the UK military and police have used them in limited quantities and the Hirtenberger boxes I have seen here are simply marked '5.56mm Short Range'. However, the same cartridge was also used by the Netherlands and I have seen a picture of a Dutch carton marked 'Kurzbahnpatr.o.Ub-patrone 75'.
I'd guess they were called by whatever name the purchaser wanted to give them.
