I have got this projectile, its restored, but i can see some markings on the projectile, also its dated 1941, has anybody info about 25 pounder Chemical rounds? would it be possibel that they made it in 1941?

25 pounder Chemical?

25 pdr CW filled rounds were still being produced well past this date, into the 50s.
This base with the filling plug was used on Mks 3,6,7,8,9 & 10.
Externally Mks 4,5,6 & 7 are identical, however the piston design on this projectile is that used on the Mk 10, but this isn't a Mk 10.
Additionally the fuze is the wrong model, should be a 221B or perhaps a 230P if it was a Mk 8.
