Thanks for the photos.
Please excuse the silly question, not being EOD I don't know about these things. What's the little thing on the tripod? Is it the thing that blew the big guy apart?

It is a small shaped charge (variations in the liners exist depending on the wanted effect) as it is used in EOD operations.
