Why do you think so? It is an Austrian case made by Enzessfeld.

The Knurled edge of the rim, I have only seen that on drill casings , is this normal for this company, I haven't seen this on a 3 pdr before.

I think I have seen knurled rims on life Austrian artillery ammo before.

Maybe Alpini can shed some more light on this subject?

What would the projectile look like ?

The projectile is the regular base fuzed Hotchkiss model.
