36 M Mills Bomb Detonator Tin

I've recently acquired a Canadian Mills Bomb detonator tin in very nice condition to add to my mills wooden box. Unfortunately it is empty so I am looking for details of the wooden insert that actually held the detonators. I've seen some pics but am not sure of the dimensions or accuracy. Does anyone have an original that they could measure and/or photograph so I can duplicate it for mine. Here is a pic of the one I have acquired. Thanks in advance.

Remarkable. I've gor one nearly the same. Mine came from a charity shop in Maidstone, Kent. It doesn't have a det block but it soes have some corrugated cardboard, which has a waxy feel about it.

Photos to follow.

Sorry, am having problems with a pop up blocker, which is stopping me adding attachments. Website issue or my PC?

I thought i posted a picture of the internals on another post but i cannot find it, its just a pine wooden block that goes inside with holes drilled out to take the dets, if your making one just a little smaller than the tin to allow for expansion,,,,,, Dave

Yes that is pretty amazing, 70 years and 3500 miles apart yet linked to this one person doing their bit for the war effort. I think I have seen a pic of a similar tin with a wooden block but I wasn't sure if that was correct or accurate. Were the holes drilled all the way through? Any ideas on the thickness of the block?

I think you need 4 rows of 6 holes, not drilled through.

Outer rows at 13mm.

Inner at 7mm.

My logic says the anvils will be the outter rows. I've not seen an original though.

Found a pic I had saved of the internals but I'm not sure if it's accurate. Not sure where I found it so I can't credit the owner. Maybe it was the one on this forum?
