It's good and correct, seldom found as these get cleaned off or it just doesn't stick well over time.
The orange rather looks like the wartime red that seems to go orange over time, if it wasn't
rather orange to start with. I have the same colouration on 18prs.
yes Gordon, the "red" on ww1 British shells does turn orange, I have seen many of those over the years that's why I was convinced in my mind it was original paint,thanks for your input
