Hi Guys,

Was at a gun show today and picked up these two neet shells. I dont normally collect this type of ordnance, but I couldnt turn down the price. I really dont know much about them.

Case head on the 3pdr is marked,,,W.N.Y.8-1901 3Pdr E.H.C.L. "an anchor" A.T.C.
The projectile is marked on the driving band JPM with two anchors and a really small star stamped into the steel. Also has a base plug, brass with an N anchor F.

The 6Pdr is case head stamped W.H.Y 11-1904 6-Pdr E.C.P naval anchor S.P.F The projectile is wooden, painted and looks very old.

Neet stuff huh?

Any one interested, you know what to do.......

Hey Lou,
Nice finds, you never know what you are going to find at these shows do you. The 3pr looks cracking with original paint, I would love to have those in my collection. Will send you a pm later on. Best regards Weasel.

A question for you Lou, how is the replica 6 pr projectile fitted int the case ? so you think it was a drill or somthing made up along time ago to fill a case.
Best Weasel.
