4.5 X 23 caseless

In comparison to the rest of a recent haul, this piece is minute. On the other hand, probably more valuable, by weight, than the majority of the lot.
A bronze tooling set-up piece for manufacturing the HK experimental 4.5mm caseless ammo. Anybody else got one? I understand there are a few stainless steel versions out there, but not so many bronze ones.

Nice simulated bullet Rick. The bronze is probably less damaging to the rifle mechanism, and bronze is a color for practice ordnance, at least in the States.

I have one, always thought it was brass. They were given out years ago at an arms maker show in the Washington, DC area, I believe. I have seen them sell in the $75-$100 range.

It certainly could be brass, I noted bronze as that was the description I got from the original owner. How does one tell the difference?
