Morning all,

My son has just got this 40mm case and asked me what the headstamp markings mean. It’s not my area of interest, so could someone provide some information please

AG/C - Aluminium Goods Ltd, Ottawa, Canada.
CF - Case life history - one Full charge of C - smokeless propellant.

WBL - Wallaceburg Brass Ltd, Wallaceburg, Ontario, Canada - manufacturer
3DL - Empty series number, a wartime practice that replaced the manufacturing lot number. The '3' denotes 1943. The letters start at 'AA' and increase 'AB' and so on to 'ZZ' Incrementing each 10,000.
Filled by SC/C - General Engineering Co. at Scarborough, Canada.
