Can anyone identify this 40mm practice rifle grenade please,i have not seen them with the small tail before..thanks for looking spotter

Hi Spotter, your grenade is the 40x53mm DM18 practice marker round for the Mk 19 automatic grenade launcher. The little tail at the base is where the tracer could be, but these rounds are not fitted with one. The projectile is inert, and contains orange powder in the head to mark the point of impact. Made bt Nico and used by the British Army under the manufacturers No DM18. Tony.
 
Thanks for your help Tony,,I only see the usual practice ones either the HV tracer or the other type of current use orange powder trainers( damn stuff get s everywhere),again thanks for your help..spotter
