55mm Nordenfelt case?

[Falcon]

This case sold on ebay recently (I didn't manage get it). I contacted the seller for some details while the auction was running.

He said the only marking on the case head was "N". This means it was manufactured by Nordenfelt. He gave the dimensions as:

Calibre: 55mm

Case length: 225mm

Base diameter: 65mm.

Was this intact or cut down? There isn't anything like it in my list of cases.

Without any more info, I would guess it to be the 57mm (6 Pdr) fortress gun. There are a few posts about it here on BOCN to include the guns used in the first German tanks.

It is not the 57x224R Fortress gun case as the fortress gun used a necked case.
