57 x 224R Maxim-Nordenfeldt case

I recently acquired this 57 x 224R cartridge case, believed to be for a 5.7cm Maxim-Nordenfeldt gun as used in WW1 German A7V tanks.

The case is slightly necked down and has 3 equidistant (120 degrees) punch marks to secure the shell. It is headstamped what looks like "EP" and "97". Presumably 97 is the year of manufacture, but does anyone know who the maker EP is?

I would also appreciate any further information on the round. Does anyone have any details of the projectile(s) - a couple of different loads I believe - and any drawings or data on the complete round.

Thanks, Graeme

It is a 1897 dated Belgium made case, where EP = Ecole Pyrotechnique (Antwerp, Belgium)
