I bought this 57x222 Norderfelt cannister shot of Belgian (EP) manufacture.
Has anybody got a drawing of the powder charge build up inside the shellcase (meaning; what type of powder, spacers , felt discs etc)
Thanks in advance,
Regards, DJH
Thanks, but still no definitie awnser. I assume it's pellets pressed black powdeer with a cartboard or felt disc on top, but I cannot be shure hoew these Belgian cartridges were filled.
Regards, DJH
If this was originally a black powder charged round it would likely be pretty much filled with a thick felt wad on top.
If then upgraded to a smokeless charge then some kind of card spacer would be empolyed likely half way down.
With the black powder charge and the small prmer there would likely be an impregnated cloth igniter on top of the primer.
