5inch starburst

These are 5inch starburst shells the question is can anyone tell me what should go on the outer thread (an adapter?) and also what fuse thanks

I have found out the outer threads were for a brass fuse protector see pic . If anyone has one of these fuse protectors they would sell please let me know

Just measured the base of the outer thread and it’s around 3 inches
