Hello everyone,
not my normal field of collecting but came across this the other day and bought it because of the condition..........and price!!!. I assume it would have been painted at one time, so not sure if the finish is original or has been applied later?
It is obviously a 6pdr 7cwt projectile, minus its fuze, but is that all that is missing from it, or was there some kind of adapter for the fuze to screw into first? - as you can see this isnt my area at all !!!
Also what sort of fuze would fit this one?
I have taken some pictures from various angles and some of the markings (though it is not easy to photograph them as clearly as they appear in 'real life')
any help with this one is welcome?
this is just how it came, I have not attempted to clean it in any way
