Hello all - I am trying to identify the 6pdr HE (or 57mm HE) on the far left hand side in the picture shown. I have put it next to other 6pdr HE to show the
difference in size etc. I can find no fuze that will fit it - no. 244/257, no.65 or no. 44 and can only assume that it needs an adapter ? Or is it not British ?
It has no markings on it.
The driving band is not original.
My current thinking is that it is a 6pdr 8cwt HE - which needs an adapter to take no.65 fuze.
Does anyone else have a different idea ? And what adapter am I looking for ?
Overall length 190mm
External shoulder at fuze/adapter cavity 43mm
Internal thread cavity 36mm
