What a beautiful 75mm Pzgr 40 and 76mm Kanone granate rot panzer. I cannot tell if the pzgr 40 is a 40 or 40W. It is interesting the Pzgr 39 markings are in white; I wonder if that is just very faded red paint?
The markings are actually in red Steve. The flash has bleached out the colour which has indeed faded. The Pzgr.40 is I believe the W version. It has a flat base with tracer. Balancing the projectile there is very little forward weight, so I assume no core either.
Thanks Rigby, that's great. Continuing on the Pak40 theme, do you have data sheets for the HE and hollow charge projectiles that would have been used with this gun?
