Hi,

It’s an October 1917 dated strengthened case made with 67% copper brass, but what do the ‘G 233’ and ‘HL 25’ markings mean?

Thanks,
Mark

Thanks for that. So it would appear to be:

G - Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik, Geislingen
233 - Batch number
HL - Hauptlaboratorium (Ingolstadt)
25 - Inspector number (?)
