70b restoration

I've had this one a while, its a nice condition 70b fuze for an SD2 butterfly bomb.
The problem with it is that the top of the arming rod was broken off.
A good friend of mine let me have a spare 70 arming rod which meant.......I HAD TO TAKE IT ALL TO BITS TO FIT THE ROD!!:frown::frown::frown:
Very carefully the screws in the side came out and the 3 in the top and off came the lid!
AWESOME!
The base of the arming rod on the 70b is different from the 41 and 67 fuzes in that it tapers rather than being flat ended. I'm assuming the reason for this is so that the tiny hair spring which fits next to the arming rod doesn't get broken.
Anyway the old rod came off OK and the new one went in. Restoration complete.
Dave.
