75mm Aluminium fuze, mortar head or gas flask part?

Hi, could someone help me identitify this object.

I bought it on a flea market, it was in a bucket full of heads of ww1 projectiles. All the ones I saw were Britisch and German. However it was on French grounds...
I assume it is ww1 related, bacause all the others were.

There is a red and blue color present.
Material is (I think) Aluminium "flask" and zinc "end"
Diameter of the "flask" is around 74 / 75 mm

Thanks to all!

No idea what it is, but you might be holding it the wrong way round. Think something like a mortar missing the tail?.

Because of the lack of feedback, I assume this is not an artillery, mortar or other bomb related part.

Maybe it is part of a gas bottle? Is the red and blue color typical for a gas-type?
