75mm trench art shell case is it French ?

I bought two 75mm trench-arted shell cases yesterday, I think they are French, but Artillery shelLs etc is not my subject, perhaps someone could tell me what country they are from please ?
The headstamp is : NYAB 75 DE CM 603 L17

Probably from New York Air Brake Company for french 75 mm Mle. 1897 field guns.

I have just been reading about this gun being used in WW1 by the USA and others, very interesting.
