76 mm ARMD C practice?

Defender

Well-Known Member
Hi
I saw a bad picture of a blue 76 mm ARMD C proj. This markings are reported (maybe they are not complete):
76MM ARMDC
SX122 GE
003 ERB 3/89
B-0-ERB
H
The picture is not available, but maybe someone can explain the markings.
ARMoureD Car is clear, but what's the meaning especially of "SX122 GE" and who is the maker ERB?
Was the 76x230 ammo only in use with Saladin and Scorpion?

Interesting !

Can help a little with the markings in as much as the "SX" and following number is the manufactured item part number or apperaring on the main body could be the "Whole" item part number, if you have the base plug with the tracer spigot still fitted then this will also have an "SX" number as all components will be marked with this "SX" prefix.
Am not that familiar with the ERB so cannot say without reference t a library.
Projectiles are usually marked such as "Prac SH" as in practice Squash Head" or whatever their purpose.
