At first -due to lack of info and the top part missing- I misinterped it as an 8,8cm M-shell. Later I understood it was a Brandsprenggranate -obtaining the incendiary pellets-, but still missing the top part. I finally got the top part, but it took me some years to finally refinish the cutaway model (I hate doing a job twice). So today I fanally finished the third type of Brandsprenggranate. Where the first two types have a central exploder in a cartboard tube with rings or loose incendiary segments around them, this type has a central cartboard tube with incendiary pellets with explosives placed around it. As with most German shells the booster is Pentrite (pink), I make the educated guess it was the same in this case.
The projectile is stamped march 1945, so I assume it was too late to be taken into large scale production.
Postings discussing this projectile can be found here:
Light Weight 1945 German 8,8cm High Explosive Shell with Special Fuse Thread | British Ordnance Collectors Network

Piotrs Picture gave me much info, as it is now clear to me how the stack of incendiary pellets were placed in the shell; a cartboard tube containing the pellet, most probably glued in the explosive charge by means of magnesiumkit.
If anybody has any more info, please let me know.
Regards, DJH
