Whilst I was looking for the 2" mortars from another of today's posts, I found these items again. Top item is a drill round, L42A1 with a rubber and aluminium nose fuse protector, and bottom is a practice round, L41A3, fired and inert with burnt out tracer. The drill round has a brass base screwed on to the cartridge and is marked : REFURBISHED IN ACCORDANCE WITH EMER SA & MGF 329 MISC INST No 10. I cannot find a date anywhere.
The practice round is well marked on the case : 83 (arrow) PN S21 B CY 12/65 PRAC ATK L41A3. The markings on the warhead should be clear on the photo, the rear is marked 185 CY 9/77.
Does anyone have a photograph of a genuine HEAT round and fuse ?

Here is a photograph of the Bofors manufactured HEAT FFV 651 as well as some diagrams of some older/early UK manufactured HEAT cartridges the L40 and L45 series projectiles.
