Hello, it's Austro Hungarian M15 shell for 9cm M75, M75/96, M04 and M07 guns

regards

Thanks, Fert, I found it also as shell for Cannone 87B modello 1880/98. I can not still unscrew cap from the fuze to inspect it in details.

By coincidence I was just pulling out some similar photos for a presentation I am giving in a few weeks. This one and its brothers had an interesting history. They were found when excavating graves in a church cemetery. Reportedly more projectiles were seen in the bottom of the graves, but religious requirements were that the bodies had to be in the ground by sundown, so the others were left in the hole. No identifying marks, but there was no doubt that they were Italian.

Hello,

Fert, what is the nomenclature of this Italian Shell (I assume 75mm shrapnel) ?

Regards

I ask you about the caliber because I see a different head shape, maybe a shorter body and larger gap between thin twins bands.
Could it be a 75mm as it's mentionned when you download the photo of the shell.

Regards
