Hi all,
well the title says it all,not being very clued up on grenades so I thought you grenade chaps could help me out here:tinysmile_hmm_t:
First dumb question, what does the ABB: mean on this handle(follows the 5 1/2 SEK thing).
Second dumb question is about the ceramic bead/puller/igniter thingy, this one is made of glass so is there a reason for it being made of glass as I have only seen ceramic ones(the small one that was on the wire inside was ceramic)

Cheers
Tony

Are you sure that's a genuine grenade ? The font for the makers mark looks wrong !

Hi Siegfreid,
It's as genuine as they get, recovered from family owned farm land in Belgium by yours truly!....totally inert!

I always have seen ceramic balls also, but maybe they used glass sometime, Germans also used glass for the smallers pearls on top of the pull cords on WWII Sticks.
