The TOW Cobras were the real tank killers right before the U.S. pulled out. There were a lot of the Russian PT76 vehicles making it into the South, and the Air Force was dropping 500 Lb. Mk.82 Paveway I Laser guided bombs on tanks, which they called "Tank Plinking", and the Tow Cobras were sharing in the carnage. The high technology stuff got it's chance right at the end of the U.S. presence.
