Aluminium tubes?

Hi there,

I found these aluminium items a while ago and I'm wondering if anyone knows what these might be.
They were found together with some tank parts, and I assume they are in some way linked to German stuff, but it might just be junk as well.
On the bottom side there is something looking like a primer with a purple annulus, but it is just an open hole. No primer to be found.
Looks like signal cartridges, but they are all lacking a rim.

Dimensions: Length 122mm, diameter 25mm.

Thanks in advance,
Thomas.

I think they are the inner tubes of German multi flare or smoke cartridges. What you are looking at on the base are the holes for the pyrotechnic delay
