Ammo box? help

I have been given a dug ammo box anyone help me with identification?
It measures approx 14 inches x 6 x 6 and is divided in to 2.
I was also give a world war 1Label rifle and a German HE shell both in dug up condition.

According to "The Devil's Paintbrush" page 230 it's German Model 1911 belt box for MG08.
