An Unknown Cap for a Mortar or even a Grenade?

Can anyone help in identifying this item? It's a zinc alloy (I think) die-casting which is 43mm diameter, 29mm high, with an internal fine thread hole about 10mm diameter. The latter has two angled small holes next to it. The only mark is a 'B', raised casting mark. Pictures below. Depotman

HAHA,i recognised that one straight away,as i just happened to be working on my BING carburetor for my DKW hobby scooter!
maybe we should change the site to BOCN and scooter forum!
