Another U.S. practice lemon

I found a site here in the U.S. that is selling practice lemon grenades (this is not the surplus circuit junk) for under 30.00 with fuze. The fuze is a m201A1. Somewhere along the way it has been painted OD which I will give a strip tomorrow. If you look closely at top left area of grenade body there is some blue paint trying to show through......Dano

Dano,

You are definately correct as far as it being a "Practice Lemon". If you can, show me a picture of the fuze and only the fuze, I can tell you what it is. You are probably knowledgable as to what Kind it appears to be hence the M201A1. Would like to be sure though.

Dan, it looks like you might have a spoon that comes from a Chemical grenade which is a M201A1. The fuze itself appears to be the "Standard Mouse trap type/Bouchon igniter fuze". From the bottom hole it also appears to have an attachment ring on the fuze for a detonater to be attached or was attached at one time. You might even have a M206 series for all I know and this is still not the correct fuzing for this grenade. The M206 series have a straight safety lever while the M204 has a curved safety lever.

Wow, what a combination to have on a "Practice" Lemon Grenade. I would place the head in your parts box along with the spoon and possibly trade up or sell the body. Just my $.02 worth of opinion, mine only.
