Anti-roll device for German Luftminen (GC mine and GD mine)

Hello,

In the German Kriegmarine document Umdrucksache der Sperrwaffeninspection Nr 215 (no date) is written the next (hopefully correct translated) text about an anti-roll device for the German Luftminen (GD mine and GC mine).

Anti-roll device
The anti-roll device prevents the mine from being dispersed.
For use from an aircraft, the support, folded in the direction of the axis, is secured to the mine with a tension strap in such a way that loading of the aircraft is not obstructed. The support is held by a bolt, which is secured by a piece of salt. The piece of salt is protected against premature dislodgement by a rubber cap, which is pulled during release.

For use on surface vessels, a fixed anti-roll device is used. After loading the vessel and unscrewing the suspension lug, an octagonal wooden stick, approximately 0.5 m long, is lightly driven into the threaded socket of the saddle with its tapered, slotted end and screwed in as far as possible. Then, a flat wedge is driven into the slot of the stick directly above the vessel. Take care to avoid splintering the stick!
For mines with a fixed suspension lug, the stick is inserted into the auxiliary fuse socket, with the wedge being inserted lengthwise before being driven in. For LMB(S) vessels that have neither a saddle nor an auxiliary fuse socket, a light metal band with a welded-on pipe section is placed around the mine, and the anti-roll device is secured in the pipe socket.

Who has ever seen such an Anti-Roll device (Rollschutz) ? I think they never have been used.

Greetings - Antoo .
