Hello everyone,
This was amongst one of my first few items but never exactly got a photo nailed down of what it would have looked like when complete. According to who I got it from it was found on battlefields of the 1910 border wars between the United states and poncho villa although there is no exact proof that is true. It measures 75mm at the base according to the dial caliper and almost exactly 21 cm in height and 60mm at mouth. Has American flaming bomb stampings and a odd G in a circle on the side. I also considered maybe American version of the 2.95 inch gun projectile that we made after we got from the British? Any thoughts or opinions? I only have seen one other example like mine but it was unfortunately missing the top also, so most likely a shrapnel considering it is fired. Would love to hear your thoughts and opinions.
