Photos taken this year at Granville, a port at the base on the west coast of the Cotentin peninsula, Normandy. The cannon seems to have been used in the same way as large stones have always been used, to stop wheeled vehicles hitting the gate posts and must date from a much earlier timeCNV00075.jpgCNV00088.jpgCNV00087.jpgCNV00086.jpgCNV00085.jpgCNV00084.jpgCNV00083.jpgCNV00082.jpgCNV00081.jpgCNV00080.jpgCNV00079.jpgCNV00078.jpgCNV00077.jpgCNV00076.jpgCNV00073.jpgCNV00074.jpgCNV00089.jpg.
