And the last third request :

apparently a depth charge fuze,

marking on the fuze is : FUZE NI Mod I 84/ABP/0627? (not sure the I is a 1 !)

If ABP is the manufacturor, it can be : ABP = Alabama Ord Works (USA)

marking on the steel plate is : "THIS (PIN???) MUST NOT BE REMOVED UNTIL THE DEPTH CHARGE IS BROUGHT TO THE READY"

At a glance it looks very similar to the depth charge fuze that collector I know has. His came from a sunken ship off Guadalcanal.
 
Hi Bougainville, had this collector more info about this fuze ? Name of the ship ? Year, date of sinking ?
