Bakelite Bombs.

These two Bakelite bombs are not in my references if they are British. Any information is welcome.

Black Balelite with steel tail and suspension ring. Unmarked.
0.705kg (1lb 10oz). 77mm (3.05") diameter. 395mm (1ft 3.5") overall length.

Orange Bakelite. Unmarked. Cracked at suspension lug which is a shame. Steel tail.
There is a lead weight attached by 2 bolts to the threaded part. 76mm (3") body diameter.
305mm head length. 440mm (1ft 5.25") overall length. 1.053kg (2lb 6oz) weight.

Thanks for the links. It looks like an 8.5lb breakup but if 1lb 10 oz, What makes up the extra weight.
Not much room in the nose for lead balls. Was the 5.5lb Bakelite reference correct? I have metal 8.5,10 & 11.5lb practice bomb examples.

I have one like your black one the centre section has 15 INS in raised stamp i also have some white painted parts with B&S 54 stencilled on on it may be Bullpit & sons of birmingham which made practice bomb components
