Bit of a Top Gear spin-off but I find James May entertaining. This will be available via the BBC Iplayer and was shown at 7 pm today. In this episode there was a fair bit about small and economical cars. Two of them were the French Citroen 2CV and the Renault 4. The programme shows archive footage of them in use as assault vehicles (!) by French and British forces. James May then has one of each repainted olive green and in a quarry, where they are subjected to weapons tests: .303 Lee Enfield, AK47, a belt fed machine gun and rocket propelled grenades. The cars were harmed during the making of the programme. If this is likely to upset you, do not watch. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
