Has anyone knowledge of a Belgian MK 36 Mine. This should be pre-war.
The chest is, by its color typical Belgian.

Marking on front of chest: 4 MINES Mk 36 AF

Marking on top of chest: AFM (Atelier de Fabrication de Munitions) - 14 - 39

Could this be a British land mine adopted and locally fabricated by the Belgians?

Jean,

These mines where surely used by french along the border with Belgium in 1940 and in Belgian territory also, but I have some doubts that this land mine has been in service with the Belgian army, even postwar.
In May 1940 the Belgian army had in service five different models of domestically produced anti-tank mine, I do not believe it needed to adopt foreign models.
