Saw this when i visited the electricity museum in Christchurch the other day.Hope you can make out the writing,there was a light shining on the glass so could not get a good pic.Tony.

The item is a piece of the steel casing , that was treppanned out , to allow the fill to be steamed out , its probably about 4 inches in diameter
